Myxi booster today.

Taking Rosie and Leo for there Myxi booster today. They are not due until January but I phoned the vets as I was so concerned after reading all these stories. Our vet advised us to take them in. I know the vacination doesn't provide 100% protection but any extra help is better than nothing. Dandelion and Florence were done not so long ago.

I feel for all the bunnies and their owners who are suffering. Hope your buns improve soon. x

Please make sure your Vet remembers to administer 10% of the vaccine INTRADERMALLY. The best place to do this is at the base of Buns ears.

Audrey's no name husbun had his myxi on wednesday and the vet did it the correct way.

(I know it was too soon after his neuter, but the vet said it wasnt worth the risk as there's lots of myxi in Nottingham and she's had a few peoples buns bought in ) She also said to renew it again in March, just before major flea season kicks in.

Mandy We go to VPI Priory Island in Beeston. They were very good when our cat got shot and needed major surgery. She seems ok with the rabbits but then I have no comparison. Do you know a vet who specialises in rabbits?

Well I dont know if they'd describe themselves as specialising, but Gamston vets for pets is excellent.

I was reccomended them by a couple of people off of here, including Honeybunnys rescue and they really are brilliant.

All the vets are women and not at all patrionising like some vets can be.
They really seem to know there stuff about rabbits, and as a bonus they are much much cheaper than my old vets too.

I highly reccomend them :thumb:
