  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Identical problems, Me with Holly, Bluebunny with Porky, jof with Daisy, I am sure I've read another, Do you think it could have something to do with the weather :?

What a relief I bet you're happy :D , how weird is that though I wonder what it was, seem starnge we've all had a bun with the same symptoms.

Holly is booked in tonight, she doesn't seem ill, but being as she is a bun she's probably hiding it. I just wish she'd poo :(

I suppose tho, if she's not eaten much there isnt anything to poo if you know what i mean? Esmerelda had also pooed much less and i was getting really stressed out on poo watch!

Evo's poos have been a bit funny recently too. His tummy has been quite noisy, enough to think "if you don't sound better in 1/2 hour I'm going to be giving you some infacol". They've been a bit of a weird shape too, and soft although it's not that he's leaving excess caecal ones. I'm going to put him on a week of probiotics to see if that helps.

My friend Fiona is having trouble with her rabbit Jess too.
She is not eating or pooing. Jess is as the vets.

Could it be due to the change of the season and they are losing their summer coats - mine seem to be in mid moult at the moment.
