Angoras here-having surgery today!!!!!!!

Hiya, we are rushing around here getting ready to take in four Angoras who were advertised in the freeads.
I agree with what Tamsin has said about people sometimes being a little too overkeen to help bunnies advertised in this way, but this is an exceptional case.
There are four Angoras, two unneutered Bucks, and two unspayed Does.
One Doe is very heavily pregnant and her babies are due this weekend  , so we need to move her urgently before the babies arrive and settle her in. The other doe was mated accidentially a couple of days ago, so will be spayed within a short space of time.
I dont want this thread to deteriorate into an attack on the owner of the bunnies, as 1) we do not know all the facts as to why the bunnies need to be rehomed 2) accidents can happen 3) the bunnies welfare is my immediate concern.
I am only considering taking on these bunnies, as people have very kindly rallied to our support and offered to help with neutering and other costs(you know who you are thank you so much :D ), and because we have one lovely lady lined up to help foster one or two of the bunnies long term once they are sorted.
I may need some more help later, so am making everyone aware of what we are letting ourselves in for
I have offered the heavily pregnant doe (at least) a permanent home here with us, and her babies (who will be neutered when they are old enough).
I would love to keep them all, but we plan to relocate in the next few years, so cannot consider doing this.
If you can just think of us, and send some special wishes for these bunnies, especially the expectant mum, we would be eternally grateful.
Special thank you to the lovely Tamsin, Emma and Michele for all your support :D
We are travelling up to West Midlands to collect bunnies later, and I will let you know when they are safely installed.

PS OMG I am going to be a Bunny Grandmother

Well done Adele!!
Angora's really do need specialist care and the thought of a pregnant one falling into the hands of a novice......
As you say, it is not really fare to judge people if we are not in possession of all the facts. Once I was in the situation of having 3 pregnant Does from an accidental mating
The Buck was castrated but back then I was ignorant of the fact they remain fertile for several weeks.....
I dread to think what might have been said about me if people just assumed I had allowed an entire Buck in with three Does.....

Good luck with the mission today and I hope all the flufsters settle in well. I especially hope the heavily pregnant one copes OK.

aaaaaawwwwww bless you Jane and Carys for your messages, it means the world to us to know we have your support for this mission :)
It is all a bit daunting, but I suspect the poor bunnies will be the most daunted of all.....thankfully journey is only about 45 minutes, so not too bad.
I have a large carrier lined with soft vet bed for expectant mum, so hopefully she will be alright
I will post here when they have settled in :)

aaawwwwww thanks for your kind messages :D
Bunnies safely installed in Worcestershire, after a horrible trip around Birmingham
They seem to be in fairly good health, but need some tidying up, though one Doe has been clipped for me :)
All four are beautiful bunnies....and some names are starting to come to us....Rainbow for mixed colour Buck :p Lance(lot) for white Buck, Crystal for White Doe and not sure about the mixed colour Doe yet....probably change names again as we get to know their personalities.
I will take photos in next few days, but bunnies have vets trips tomorrow, so hoping they will be alright for their ops.
Pregnant Doe lively and not stressed after trip...which is more than I can say for us  we are very stressed after M5 journey and totally worn out  :?   We did not get back until after 10pm!!
Will let you know how ops go tomorrow.
Love Adele and the four fluffies.
