Sucess with guinea-pig rehome?- where to list a pig?

Do any rescues have much success with Guinea-pig rehome?

I have just listed Max and he's pretty much the only one in the Midlands

Is there anywhere else I could list him please?

thanks x

I listed 4 the other day and one is probably going to his new home today. And it generated interest in another who isn't ready yet.

So it seems to work 8)
which is good as I have about another 30 to rehome
and more calls about taking in guinea pigs coming in all the time :?

Thanks Louise :)

Hopefully a good home will be found for Max soon.

Do you keep a lot of them in pairs before rehoming? Or in pairs etc?

I got Max from freeads and had him neutered so they'd be more chance of him finding a home.

Hi

I was involved a little with pig rescue/rehoming last year and I did put pigs on Guinea rehome but I didnt get many enquiries from there.

I had more interest from

http://www.pet-rescue.org.uk/forums/

I listed in the gp section.

I also put them on all the forums I could find. Most have a section you can pop a piggie/bunny in.

eg:

I think a lot depends on where you are in the UK too. For some reason West Mids/Shropshire is a bit 'quiet'. I ended up travelling miles

I hope Max finds a new home soon. Got all my paws and toes crossed.

Thanks Deb, thats brilliant.

Am not in a hurry to find him a home particularily, but it would be nice for his sake, as the point is to find him some friends.

(BTW Hope no one thinks I am rehoming one of my animals- I got max free to a good home only two weeks ago and got him neutered so he would not spend his life alone :) ).
