I am still taking Honey to the vets once a week for her penicillin injection for her hock but last night when i was checking her hock i noticed her toe was very red & swollen & the nail was broke, this has happened before on a different foot & every thing turned out alright. i had an appointment for wednesdy but i got her in today & they had to give her gas & take the nail off, when i when to pick her up they said they will more then likey have to amputate the toe has she is biting it a lot of the time, i have to wait untill tomorrow to see Annie the vet who sees her all the time, the problem is the toe is on the bad hock & it is the only toe she has left on that foot, has when she come to me she only had half a foot on the bad hock.
Does any one know if Honey will be alright with no toes on one of her back feet or can it caurse problems for her.
