Being pregnant is no fun!

Mama Doe
Poor Evee is suspected pregnant so she's in for a few days as she'd be due soon. I can't win with her, she hates being in her run but now she hates being in her hutch, she's actaully rushing over to see me when I come over and pleading to get out! The most affection I've had off her since she came here!
She built a nest two weeks ago (that is being a little too organised) so she could either have missed and was buolding the nest as a sign to be remated or was trying to get everything ready too early.
It'll be 31 days tommorow so fingers crossed we'll have some agouti angoras before too long (I personally just want healthy happy buns so if she's not pregnant I'm not bothered as long as she is healthy and happy)
Both Evee and I obviously can't handle the wait lol.

aawww angoras :D They are sooo cute when they are baby fluffballs :D :D You'll have to post some piccies if she produces some :D

Aaaawwwww I hope everything goes well if Eve does produce some babies, she had better hurry up though as you will wear that carpet out pacing   :!:
Please keep us posted :)
Best wishes

This is going to sound completelt insane, but I'm feeling she's not pregnant. Every time I've had a bun successfully give birth, I've felt like it's going to happen, but for some reason I'm not with Evee. May be because I don't know her well enough to read her vibes. Yes that sounds insane!
She's still looking unimpressed with the world despite me going to see her every five minutes so she doesn't get lonely. Maybe tommorow morning.....!
I can assure you I will be posting photos, though from what I've seen of baby Angs, they're just fluff with ears lol. Also to anyone concerned I will be severly vetting anyone who wants one, they won't be advertised to the general public, I'm hoping they will go to spinner homes (people who use the wool for spinning and have a lot of experience with Angs (and generally spoil them rotten!)) But if not, I will have to keep them, that would be such a shame lol!

Aw bless Eeve, she is bootiful - any babies would be like cotton wool balls!

How many bunns do you have Ravenguest? And how many do you breed from? (Sorry I'm just nosey  )

Weeeelllllll.......it all depends on the does really. I only have two at the moment, I can't abide by people with sheds full of rabbits that are constantly churning out babies. My does are very obvious when they want a litter and I'd never breed from them more than twice a year (or if I had trouble rehoming the babies, I wouldn't produce more of that kind i.e Angoras are quite specialised.)
But sometimes the does just aren't having it, or my boys are quite useless bless them. My giant doe has been yearning for kits for months, but my boy Xanti just keeps mating her face (Poor Daisy!) and I'd never have more than one doe pregnant at a time so they get my full attention and I can ensure the kits are spoiled and well handled as no one wants a savage baby that hangs off your finger by their teeth!
I always tell people, if for any reason, even if it's in four years etc, if they find they can't look after a rabbit I've sold them, they can bring it back. I always make sure I have spare hutches just in case this happens, but it hasn't yet. I'm in touch with most of the people who took my babies and most of them are house rabbits which is great.
And if I don't have what they are looking for, or they ring when I have no kits I give them the numbers of my local rescues and try to encourage them to go there.

I've read somewhere that lady buns can have phantom pregnancies? Maybe she;s had 1 if these and she's so unsettled because she's wondering what's gone wrong herself? :?

I've seen phantoms and they don't pluck that much fur generally! I'll see how she goes, she's not happy at being stuck in 'the maternity ward' (her hutch) the other buns keep looking for her which is a bit sad!

Yes poor daisy! I spend my life pulling that giant off her and explaining what he has to do! I thought all males were born with that instinct lol.

If there are babies, watch out, I'm sure I'll be an overly proud grandma and will be clogging the board with photos lol.

No babies! :( It's 32 days now so I doubt she'll be having any, though I'm not risking putting her out just in case. Poor thing thinks she's being punished!
