Hi Everybody!
Long time not speaK!
Well today I had to have Peter Rabbit put to sleep.
He wasn't breathing to well on Monday so my vet gave him an injection. Still no improvement, so I took him back to the vet who sent me to a rabbit specialist some where else. They took X rays and said I could have him on oxygen all weekend with anti biotics and see how it goes. His lungs were fine, it was pnuemonia. We decided it was too much for him. He was really old and we got him from a pet rescue centre that got closed down! He came to us with a bit of hisear bitten off and lots of scabs. So all I can say is that I gave him the best (and last) year of his life.
My problem now is that poor Jessica rabbit is on her own. Shall I get toys to make sure she doesn't pine for him too much? She used to love to sit on him LOL.
She lives in a childen's wooden wendy house, with a run at the side, so she can go in and out as she pleases. So plenty of room and freedom.
Daisy the cat does sit with her, but it's not the same is it?
I don't want to get another bunny, so any ideas would be welcome.
Thanks for listening
