Over the last week, me and Neil have been desperately trying to bond Crunchie and Jake.
We take them to neutral teritory and sit with them for an hour or so, they have a little scuffle then dash to opposite sides of the room, then they just sit there almost motionless for an hour!
We've been doing this a few times a day for a week now and it's always the same.
Today we thought we'd try something different, we took them to a different room (neutral) and left them alone together for a few hours, we left a camera in there, just in case, and watched from the living room. They did the same thing.
I'm starting to think this is completely hopeless, should I give up or is there something else I could do?
I've tried encouraging them to interact with food, treats and toys, someone suggested putting them in the bath, I tried that but it felt cruel so I took them out after a few minutes, I've tried taking them for a walk around the garden on harnesses together.
Is there anything else that won't involve scaring them (car journey etc), I don't want to do that because it seems very harsh :?
I feel so bad for them, they could be a happy couple hopping around the garden for the rest of their days but instead, they just sit, lonely and bored with no-bun to cuddle up to.
I'm getting kinda desperate, is there anything at all I can do?
