I FEEL SO GUILTY

Sorry guys I nearly homed a pet shop bunny today. He was a gorgeous grey long haired bunny. I was so annoyed by how everyone was frightening him. I told myself not to encourage the sale of pet shop bunnies and walked on by. I feel so guilty for leaving him there

I would love to foster either long term rescue bunnies or bunnies who need socialising etc..

How about printing off some of the RR posters and seeing if they'll put those up: http://www.rabbitrehome.org.uk/education/posters.asp You could make your own too. That might help :)

Have you tried speaking to Cheryl? I'm not sure what her policy is on foster carers but not all rescues mind how far you are, especially when you have the rabbit for a longer period :)

I can't even go into pet shops which sell animals now  I always feel so bad leaving them behind and I wonder what kind of homes they end up in

I don't mean this in any way bad/sarky/rude... and I definatly know what you mean... only not all people that buy pet shop buns will keep them locked in a tiny hutch etc or are bad people... Sophie was a pet shop bun

But I do know what you mean... but for the people who didn't know about rescues (like me when I had soph!) some of those buns may be getting great homes... hopefully that is some consolation to you after seeing these buns in the shop

I know what you mean Laura, my first bunny was from a pet shop.

Cool, glad my post was read how I meant it to, I didn't want to offend anyone, but just to make that point really.
