Locust bean treats

Has anyone ever given these to there rabbit my mum said when she was young she used to eat them I got some for Twinkle but she was unimpressed

I used to feed them years ago but now most rabbit food manufacturers don't include them in mixes any more, as the seeds can still be present and these are very hard and indigestible and can cause gut blockages

are the treats actualy whole dried locast beans? or do they resemble a large pellet?
as Jane said the former has been known to cause blockages, i think the dried/ground/reconstituted pellet locust beans are okay though... :?

Yes, there are definitely 2 different types that you can buy. The reconstituted sort are nothing like the others - they are a bit like a biscuit.
