Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Hello Jack's-Jane!

Was just reading your post about you changing your buns over to A&P. I've just ordered a sack and was wondering how you're getting on with the changeover? Have you started yet and if so, do they like it?

'ello Minilops

Hope I dont get shot down in flames when I say this but I did the change-over in the WRONG way  I just gave them all a tiny portion of A+P and NONE of their previous pellet feed. I figured that they would be more likely to accept A+P if the choice was that or nothing  (They do have hay 24/7 and Veg twice a day!!) Anyway, I also thought that they would be no more likely to get a poorly tum with just a tiny portion of A+P and no Science Selective than with a tiny portion of A+P AND SS !!
It seemed to work as they all ate the A+P when they realised it was them or nowt :p :p I then very slowly upped the portion given once I knew their guts were all OK. So far so good :D :D
I did feel mean but really wanted to try to ensure a change was accepted.
Affraid I through the rule book out of the window......

Excellent! Thanks for replying. I've still got a third of my SS sack left, so I might mix it in to start with, but if they refuse I might follow your route. By the way, do you know what Best Before date your sack has on it. The only thing I'm worried about is not using all the food by the BB date. I think I might store it somewhere else as well, as I've got it in one of those large bins with a lid in the shed at the moment. It does get quite warm in there, though.
