Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

toy causing sneezing?

I've noticed Molly sneezing a few times today, I've been checking for discharge of eyes and nose and can't see or feel any.
His eyes look a little funny, but I noticed they seemed somewhat greasy after his neutering, so I assumed the vets wiped them with something.

I did a search here on sneezing and after reading the topics I thought about what could be making him sneeze.

The only thing different today is I brought him a new toy from wilkinsons It's a papery chewy carrot thing, larger than the other kind they do and also come in a pineapple. Could this be causing it? I've taken it away to watch him tomorrow. I hope it is, i don't want it to be anything serious. :-(

Hi. I do suppose that Molly could be allergic to something the toy is made of, but if he doesnt stop tomorrow, I think i'd let the doctor check him over. The odds are it will be nothing serious - Maybe this bale/bag of hay is a little dustier than usual? :) xX
