  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

guilty

Two nights in a row I have accadently fallen asleep on the couch with my 5 month old bun. When I awake ( in the night) She is quite content and neseled in my arms (she LOVES to snuggle.) Although she acts she doesn't mind, Is this bad? I feel so irresopnsable!

Give us a chance, you posted at 7am (here anyway, don't know where you live), there aren't going to be hundreds of people queuing up to reply within 4 minutes!!

It's certainly not ideal, especially as she is disabled and would be unable to get away if you rolled onto her and you could potentially suffocate or crush her. Much as it might be nice to have a snuggle, please try not to fall asleep whilst doing so!

You need a little more patience.
Although im not that age - most people on here go to work etc before they can talk on here and not everyone is online at the same time...

In answer to your problem i would say no - if you rolled over in your sleep you could squish poor tinkerbell

No, do not fall asleep with her, remember how tiny she is! You could cause serious damage if you accidently rolled over.

But snuggle with her while you're awake all you like! Snuggling is good, hehe. :D :D

Like other people have said... don't worry, we will reply!! Just give people a bit of time
