  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

HIYA

MY TWO LITTLE BUNNIES ARE 1 YEARS OLD - THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN LOVING FUN LITTLE BABIES - ALWAYS RUNING ABOUT AND CHASING ME. WHEN I COME HOME THEY ALWAYS RUN UP TO ME ESPECIALLY HONEY - MOLLY IS MORE SHY BUT SINCE I'VE HAD THEY SPAYED (10 DAYS AGO) THEY HAVE BEEN GRUMPY, LAZY - ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS SLEEP!! THEY ARE EATING WELL - IN FACT MORE THAN USUAL AND THEIR POO'S ARE FINE BUT IT IS JUST THAT THEY SEEM UNHAPPY. HONEY HAS EVEN STARTED CHASING MOLLY AROUND THE GARDEN AND TRYING TO PULL HER FUR OUT.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY ADVISE AS I AM REALLY WORRIED. MY FIRST BABY IS DUE IN 2 WEEKS AND IT WOULD BE NICE NOT TO HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MY LITTLE GIRLS.

PLEASE HELP!!

THANKS

:D It will take a while for their hormones to settle, they're probably all over the place right now! Also, they will probably still be feeling a little uncomfortable, speying is a rather intrusive op. I'm sure they will settle down once their hormones have righted themselves :D
