  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Ive just seen your signature pics and my new rabbit Eli is identically marked as your rabbits badger and Brian ! they literally could be twins !!!

will take piccies soon to show you. Are Badger and Brian an actual breed (sorry if sounding thick ! )

this was edited as I only just noticed Brian - so am assuming they must be an actual breed for them to be so identically marked ?

can anyone tell me ?

sorry only just seen this
ive no idea what breed badger is, im assuming dutch cross, he came here to be fostered (although i did fail) from kazpetts on here so maybe she knows the breed of mum and dad?

Hiya, Brian is a dutchx he came from a rescue so I don't really know for certain.
Love to see pics of Eli, It's suprising how many buns do look like Brian - Joob Joobs (she doesn't seem to have been on for ages!!!) has a bun called Joey and he is the absolute spit of Brian :D

I'm pretty sure his mum was a dwarf lop.

Dad was a small black bun

fiver is a lop cross and i can deffinately see the lop in her, with her big dopey ears, but he looks more dutch than anything
