I am doing Bradford to Derbyshire (near Derby) on the 29th May, quite a long time to wait but the offer is there if it is still needed then :)

I've asked the lady to send me her actual address, so I'll let you know more details as soon as I get them. Thank you so far though :thumb:

 Crikey!! This will be a bunny run and a half!! Arbroath to Hampshire is around 520 miles!!

PS I'm happy to help with the Hampshire end of the run!! :D

bunnyhuggger
28-04-2006, 03:42 AM
 well it will be if it gets off the ground! We managed it before with Mia www.rabbitrehome.org.uk/care/miasjourney.asp and that was 686 miles but this time we don't have anyone available to do the Scottish leg so it might not happen.

Sue&Sooty
28-04-2006, 02:16 PM
 Wow! The lengths that us bunny lovers will go to to ensure that buns go to the right homes never ceases to amaze me.

bunnyhuggger
28-04-2006, 03:16 PM
Ooo that's an idea Phil, I'll try and get in touch with her, I could manage to St Andrews cos she goes there quite often and I wont be away from the rest of the buns for too long :thumb:

Phill
28-04-2006, 03:21 PM
Yep and then if Fi can get down to Moffat or all the way to me if she wants the bun can stay here for a little while or if someone can meet me at either Cralilse or Penrith the same day or the day after.

NicolaB18
28-04-2006, 03:40 PM

I'll happily do the length of the M3 on this run.... which would be from the M25 to Southampton (maybe even to the final destination depending on where it is)

Can anybody help with getting this bun from Carlisle to Bradford ???? :D

Fairy Angel

I might be able to help, depending on when it is? I have exams coming up

bunnyhuggger
01-05-2006, 12:24 AM
We don't know what the date will be, we're waiting to see if we have enough people to help. It could involve a stop-over or two as it is a long journey for a bun.

Fairy Angel
01-05-2006, 01:31 AM
Ok, well Sunday's or Monday's should be fine whatever. Can prob do Carlisle to J36 M6 (or Sheffield, but that would involve a stop-over). Don't want to mess it up if someone's got it covered from Bradford already.

Will be able to confirm when I know dates - my exams don't finish til June 3rd but I may be able to work around them.

animus
01-05-2006, 09:06 AM
If you did Calisle to Sheffield that would be cool too, Sheffield is on my way back to Derby :D

Phill
02-05-2006, 06:12 AM
So do we still need the carlisle bit?? I can get a little further down, penrith area which is just south or Carlisle.

We don't know what the date will be, we're waiting to see if we have enough people to help. It could involve a stop-over or two as it is a long journey for a bun.

She can stop over at my house for the night, i have a spare hutch at the moment :D

Phill
02-05-2006, 07:16 AM
thinking about it if the run will be in the next 2-4 weeks i have a trip to Bolton to make?? Can anyone do from Bolton to Bradford???

animus
02-05-2006, 08:39 AM
The only time I'll be able to do Bradford to Derbyshire is the 29th unfortunately but I could collect bun from Bolton if you're able to do it then Phill? :D

Phill
02-05-2006, 09:03 AM
29th May??? I think it mighht be before then but im not sure right now, we have a washing machine and some hutches to collect but it depends on when the house is finished as to when we'll be going down, otherwise it would need to be from Carlisle/Penrith that the bun was collected.

Fairy Angel
02-05-2006, 05:00 PM
I can do Carlisle to Sheffield (tho Penrith would be better for me Phill). However it would need to be Sunday or Monday. Bunny will need to stop over for one night with me, I have a spare indoor cage.

bunnyhuggger
02-05-2006, 06:30 PM
This is looking like it's going to go ahead, which is brilliant! Maybe if we could try and get some suitable dates? I've still got to organise the new owner (Karen) and make sure everything is ready. Remember it would be great if she could have a couple of stop-overs. We have a small indoor hutch which she could travel in, would that be a problem with anyone's car size? I'll get the exact hutch size tomorrow if anyone is unsure.

Sue&Sooty
02-05-2006, 06:33 PM
This is great news! :thumb:

Hutch size shouldn't be a problem for me. Let me know when/if you want me to do the homecheck.

Fairy Angel
02-05-2006, 07:12 PM
Hutch size will be fine with me (just need to tell O/H now!). Bunny will almost definately have to stop with me for one night.

animus
02-05-2006, 09:05 PM
Hutch size isn't a problem for me either, bun can stop here if she needs to, I have an empty shed I can spruce up :D

Phill
03-05-2006, 03:35 PM
Penrith ain't a prob at all for me. If it's needed bun can stop over here and cage size isn't a problem at all.

In an ideal world after 3rd June (exams finish), otherwise after May 17th(dissertation handed in)! Is a Sunday or Monday ok for you Phill?

Phill
04-05-2006, 07:02 AM
Saturdays and Sundays are fine with me and im on holiday for a week starting the 26th May back to work on the 5th June

Lynn
04-05-2006, 07:20 AM
OK, if weekends are best for Phill and Sunday / Monday for Julie, then it might be best I start the run early Saturday - weekends are best for me anyway :D

Is there an Arbroath to St Andrews bit being done by Lynda :? - might be easier for me just to double back to Arbroath, rather than meet in St Andrews :)

If I'm doing Arbroath to Moffat, that's approx 160 miles, so the bunny will probably be needing an overnight stop at either Phills or Julies (if I'm reading it right and Phill is meeting Julie  ).

Most weekends are OK for me - the hutch size won't be a problem :D

Phill
04-05-2006, 07:30 AM
Well Lynn if Sundays are good for you and Julie then i can collect from you Sunday and drive to Penrith to Meet Julie and Bun can stop over with her Sunday night and go on the monday. Either that or i can collect bun from Lynn on Saturday and take the bun to Julie on the Sunday.

Lynn
04-05-2006, 07:34 AM
Saturdays or Sundays would be fine for me - either or :D Just whatever fits in best with the rest of the run :D

Betty is a gorgeous bunny though - I might just drive off to the sunset with her  Never to be seen again

Phill
04-05-2006, 07:36 AM

bunnyhuggger
04-05-2006, 09:08 AM
Nope! There's going to be a homecheck first just to make sure Karen's set-up and prepared, just waiting for the results of that then we can sort out dates

I've asked Lynda if Saturday or Sunday suits her better, but if you have to be at Carlisle by lunchtime Sunday, that might mean it has to be the Saturday I bring her to you :?

Phill

It takes me about an hour to get from my house to The services where im meeting Julie possibly a little longer, we have said Lunchtime but we can make it later if Sunday is bettr for you Lynn, Moffat is at the bottom end of the M74 i think it's junction 22 possibly maybe wrong. It'll take about 2 hours from Moffat to southwaite, but as i said i can arrange to meet Julie later in the day.

OK :D I'll let Lynda decide which is the best day at the weekend for the little lady to travel and then get back to you :D Is Sunday is best we'll start off early so that you don't need to change it to much later :D

OK, Betty will be starting her journey on Saturday :D I'm picking her up from Arbroath, and she will stay overnight at mine, so we'll be able to head off early Sunday morning to do Dundee to Moffat :D

Phill, we'll make sure we meet you in enought time to allow you to get to next stop for lunchtime :D . Do you have anywhere specific in mind to meet in Moffat :? - I'll need to do a multimap, so I can try and work out how long it'll take us :? , and I'll need an idea of car / you  , as I can't remember if I've seen a piccie :? PM me if it would be easier :D

Lynda will be giving me notes when I pick up Betty, which will travel with the little girl - I'm sure this will mention food etc for her journey down
