  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

has anyone had....

Alpha Buck
Fibreplex for bunnies, appears to be a new product for iffy stomachs and is carrot flavour!!! Archie cant stand it, whilst Smokie has been pestering us for it (even though she isnt poorly) and eats it straight from the syringe  Is probiotic and fibre so guess cant do her any harm

ive never heard of it, but certainly sounds good stuff. Where did you get it from im wondering....
I work within the pet section and sometimes we have little ones that come to me with the runs, this sorta thing sounds something new to try, compared to the simple 'supreme recovry mix' we can currently get hold off.

Sounds like it might be good for buns who can't eat hay for whatever reason - there's been a few on the forum lately who haven't been able to eat solid food or hay because of wounds in the mouth, and there's those missing lots of molars or those who really won't eat hay for whatever reason - would be a good way of giving them fibre for their gut?

Got it from the vets - is made by protexin the bio-lapis people, am guessing it maybe on trial as there is nothing about it on their website. BTW Archie has decided he quite likes it now!
