Young Bun
Not sure how we are spelling his newly provisioned name, but Gis or Giz whatever you prefer to look at, has been officially introduced as a formal member of our family - having been a rescue bunny before we have made a commitment to look after him.
We got his new inside cage today (dog - 5ft), just as well since our other bunny is quite jealous and some aggro from either side of cage was seen but interrupted and they are now banished from his room for a good while!
He seems quite happy, worried he might be stressed in his new location but hes having a good roam around and very friendly.
Hes a lovely but poor little timid thing, nothing to him really.
He wont be deprived access to his mates though, at least until the other rescued ones leave but hopefully once the time comes he may find his own mate when a time has passed once neutered, I hope it settles with our own bunnies and they all get along as well but it may take time.
Further good news besides the female rescue bunny being much more settled in the much larger hutch of ours since its 6ft wide (my parner was somewhat concerned about the cold but a few calls to our bunny friends soon alleviated that but I have got the front covered overnight to avod drafts and excess cold).....
we also may definitely have a quality rescue interested in providing spaces whom we already spoke to about rehoming these 2 females left over in the next couple of weeks if we dont get it sorted elsewhere (that are assured to do female neutering also).
Either way we know they will be guaranteed to be given good homes, and in the meanwhile they will be appreciating some nice space and a bit of tlc where possible.
