Wise Old Thumper
Once upon a time there was a poor little bunny cold and lonely , full of maggots and in pain . She belonged to someone who thought buns were easy pets and they didnt know what to do when she became ill . They phoned the vets but didnt like the idea of spending all that money so instead they decided she had to go .
One cold night in November (it was raining too) they bundled her into a pet carrier and sneaked around the streets till they came to a house with lots of other bunnies tucked up nice and cosy in their beds . They left the poor poorly bun on the doorstep with a black sack of food, hay and straw and sneaked away .
the poor bun didnt know how long she sat there praying for the door to open . she was wet through and so cold she was getting realy sleepy .
The next thing she knew she was wrapped in something soft and being cuddled up . but poor little bun was so ill she just lay there and drifted off to sleep .
A kind lady vet picked all the maggots out of her flesh and put her somewhere cosy and the little bun went back to sleep till morning.
Everyone seemed surprised when she woke up and was hungry and she was soon off again . this time snuggled in a warm ,cosy ,dry pet carrier .
The next few weeks she spent quietly in a kind ladies bedroom recovering . she didnt much like the daily baths though :?
The little bun soon learned her name was Hope and she at last felt loved and safe
