Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Sore patch on Brackens back foot

bunnies

Alpha Buck
bracken has a small sore area on his back foot, i`ve been treating it with sudocream but it hasn`t gone :(

Any suggestions on what i can put on it??

Have you tried tea tree cream? Sophie had a funny spot on her ear and I put some of that on and it cleared it up a treat!

I think you can also use vasaline, but that would just be a barrier and wouldn't actually help the sore part :(

Hi bunnies sorry to hear about brackens foot, have you tried Alo Vera the vet said it is really good for sores & i have used it on my horses has well, Honeys foot is really bad but the vet said if the poeple who had her before had noticed it at the start she would not be in the state she is in now, bracken is in good hands with you, keep up with the cream.
Loads of good luck with getting rid of the sore.
