  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I am sorry but I have to rant!

I have seen an add for a Free to good home bunny reappearing for about 3 months. Originally there were 2 males for rehoming but the later ads
were for only 1.

I decided to email them last week. They were not willing to give th hutch free and wanted £10 for it. I said that I was not willing to buy it but as I did not have a spare hutch there was no way I could take it.

Anyway today I see the same person advertising for another bunny!

I am annoyed!

'free or cheap would be brilliant' 'under 2yrs' - not difficult to guess what he's planning for the poor little girl

My thoughts exactly. I assume they originally want 1 of each for that reason and ended up with 2 boys.

It makes me so mad! Since they have been trying to rehome the male for over 3 months you think they would realise how had it is to find buns new home!

Well I guess that the fact they have at least tried to re home it rather than disposing of it is a positive.
