Advice for boosting Alfie's immune system?

Krispy85

Young Bun
Hey guys,

Im worried Alfie may have a bit of a cold comming on, he is a house bunny and my housemates keep turning the heating down low so im worried he may have got a chill the other night. He is pron to sneezing alot at the slightest change in temp bless him but it never gets any worse. Can you suggest anything I can give him to help boost his immune system and 'pick him up' so to speak? what about a bit of Vit C tablet dissoveled and given to him via a syringe? Im reluctant to rush him off to the vets for Baytril as he gets soo stressed with going there, so thought is there anything I can do to help. If he gets worse then I will deffo take him to the vets, just dont think the stress will help at the mo since its just a bit of sneezing. Ive got a plug in heater for him and his currently chillin out next to it.
I have tried him on vit supplements in his food but he manages to pick them out! and wont drink his water with vit water supplements!bless him.

Hi. Im not too sure about things to get his immune system boosted, but maybe a trip to the vets could be handy, as i doubt very much that he's sneezing due to a chill. If he's inside, even without the heating on should be plenty warm enough. Does he have any discharge from his nose or eyes? xx

Heya, Thanks for the advice, Alfie seems better (touch wood) no runny eyes or nose, I did give him a bit of vit c and he isn't sneezing anymore. so hopefully he is ok, but im still keeping a close eye on him. Don't know what it was that caused the sneezing- he has these episodes from time to time and gets me worried, the vet in the past thought it may be the hay but ive tried him with soaked hay and no hay and that doesn't really make a diff he still has the odd sneezing episode. I know he shouldn't really suffer from a chill if his indoors I just cant think what else could cause it and it does seem to coinside with the house getting cold. If only he could talk!! :D

Big Thank u for the advice, Kristin and Alfie xxxx
