Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Sorry a baby question again!

Sue&Sooty

Wise Old Thumper
Since 4pm today Holly, Sooty and the babies have all been together. There has been no problems at all and Sooty has been very gentle with the babes (see Bestest Dad post in Pics)

So my question is ... would it be ok to keep them all together now, overnight?

:?: :?: :?: :?:

I would think they would be OK as the babes are 'asexual' at the moment as far as Sooty is concerned. And if Holly has not shown any sign of being defensive of the babies. As long as they have lots of room to get away from each other if they choose to I think they'll be OK. Things will change in a few weeks though once the babes become teenagers!! Janex

OK Thanks Jane :thumb:

It just seem such a shame to take Sooty and plonk him back in the hutch on his own seeing as though the 4 of them are really snuggled up. They should have enough space as I can turn the hutch back into a 5ft double level hutch so they will effectively have 10ft of space

As far as Holly being defensive over them.... I think it's more like she is enjoying the break from them as they are pestering dad not her!
