  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

weight shock!

was really suprised today, had Fudge and Amy weighed. Amy looks much bigger than fudge and has really long limbs but he weighed 3.85kg and she was only 3.75kg  and she eats twice as much as him too! :?

Awwww thats not much difference!! Perhaps Fudge had a full bladder and Amy's was empty!!  Jane and Buns xx

she is 7 months now! I think she is quite skinny with really long limbs, she definately needs to do some filling out soon!!! I guess all the stress of being back and forward to the vets twice weekly, and being subjected to home help twice daily too hasn't helped either! :?

awww poor girlie! A few weeks ago storm looked really strange, with great big feet, long legs and a skinny body  he's beginning to grow in to his legs and feet now. I don't know how much he weighs. He only weighed 3 kg when he was neautered a month ago, he weighs much more now, he's almost 6 months. I must admit, when the vet weighed him the other month, I thought he would weigh more as he looked so big.
