Mama Doe
Hello,
I recently took in 2 bonded male rabbits. It was obvious the younger 7 month old one was being bullied by the 11 month old. At their initial vet check the 11 month old was deemed healthy enough to be neutered, but the younger one had no visible testicles and appeared to be an hermaphrodite bunny, neither completely male or female.
I named bunny 'Billie', and she is currently a doe. Very prickly and anxious but happier since being being split from her partner.
Does anyone have any advice or experience they can give me about these type of buns? I understand they can be difficult to bond and their condition is usually as a result of inter breeding.
Currently Billie is relaxing for a month or so. I would like to see her put on a bit of weight before she undergo's any neutering operation. She is a bright little bun, very interested in all that is going on, and very hungry!
