Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Brian is going to the vets first thing Wednesday morning, for general check over, chat about e.cuniculi and myxi booster.
He'll be on his own and doesn't like going to the vets anyway!!

I need to know how, when and how much rescue remedy to give for benefits wed morning.

Thanks :D

As far as I know it is one drop, I usually pop it into a teaspoon of diluted pineapple juice and then let them lick it or syringe it if they are reluctant to take it.

Thanks!

I like the pineapple juice idea, I have some apple juice, so first thing wed morning do you think? 6.30 ish or the night before? or a both maybe? I know it's been posted before but I can't find it.

Hiya, yes we just give one drop of rescue remedy at a time, but you can use it several times a day if necessary. ie one drop before taking to the vets and one drop on your return :?:
Best wishes :)

i read somwhere that you could drop it onto the skin on the back of the neck or head...(anyone confirm this one..? :? )
