  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Young Bun
:( my neighbour has just called round to tell me that his wife is off to the vets with bonni (french lop) as she managed to squeeze behind their shed and temporary get trapped by barbwire  the guy said she still has full mobility of her leg but it was still badly cut..........will she be okay guys cuz am going crazy waiting for news.

we have a joint garden with them, and i often let my lot out for a run about (completely oblivious to the dangers lurking behind their shed :x )
when am not in the garden they are securely locked in their runs or shed, where as their rabbit doesnt have a run and they appear far more relaxed about leaving her to her own devices unattended, even after i suggested they could use my spare run that i left out for them!!

Omg!!!!Fancy having barbed wire around bunnys!!!Thats not a option! Some people!!!Lucky your bunnys didnt go near there!

Maybe they didnt know the barbed wire was there, after all it says the bun squeezed itself behind their shed.

Hope the bun is ok
:(
