Organic compost with bonemeal - safe?

I am fed up! I got my CPN to take me to the garden centre, went even though very anxious today. Bought 3 bags of organic peat free compost for planting, grass seed for Jacob and Cats and also for a digging box. My poor CPN has to carry out of car, through house, into garden as I can't, and then I saw that it has bonemeal in it, hoof and nail bits..! As a veggie, i am gutted, i was trying to do well with peat free and didn't have usual kind so got this and full of dead animals. I never realised this could be, I will have to get the peat one next time, bad for planet, good for animals. Also, can I still use this for Jacobs digging box if it has bonemeal and that in? Feel worried it's not Ok. Can I have advice please, I am really gutted as tried so hard!!

It will all have been sterilized so I don't see a problem with using it. It's not like they'll be eating lots and it shouldn't matter if they do :)

Thanks..will look out for Jacob eating it though, he loves cat food and grabs a bit when he gets a chance, if I drop a biscuit whilst refilling Tom's bowels Jacob appears from nowhere to grab it. I know he mustn't and he is banned but he still tries! Thanks, won't do digging box yet as poorly nail but glad it'll be Ok, I never noticed the bonemeal, I feel nauseas and a useless veggie though Tom has meat so not the only meat through the door i suppose.
