Baillie has gone to play with Scoot X

Phill

Wise Old Thumper
My sister rang me at work at 11.30 to say that baillie was in alot of pain and he wouldn't move off the dining room floor. I rang Hazel and explained how he has been over the weekend and she said 'it's time isn't it' and i agreed. My pup went to the Bridge at 12.30pm on the 9th January 2006 after only two and a half years here on earth. We had Baillie from being 6 months old after he had had a very bad start in life he became one of the softest most loving dogs i have ever known. I love you little man and you will always be mummy's special little chap. Run free mr man bark jump and most importantly play cowboys and indians with Scoot bunny as he was very special too.

Good night my boy XXXXXXX

Phill - I am sending you big hugs cos I dont know what else to do - Baillie will always be there with you - when he's not being Silver to Scoot's Lone Ranger :)
I will light a candle for Baillie tonightxx

That second pic is really moving :( He looked like he loved you so much Phil, and you him too :(
A gorgeous, handsome man...he's in no pain now, and has Scoot looking after him.

Sending a huge hug your way Phil.

The strange thing is I knew exactly when the time had come - if you look on the play list on Classic FM you will see that they played the theme music from Jurassic Park - and I just knew that Scoot was taking Baille to the Bridge and introducing him to all his new friends.
Run free now Baille - no more pain or sickness ever again now - just wonderful playtimes ahead with new friends and old - eternity never ends and you will be forever young and healthy again.
Night night Baille - play chase with the butterflies and have great fun playing cowboys and Indians with Scoot - he's going to take care of you always. - xxxxxxxxx

Sending you loads of love and hugs Phill.
Run free Baillie boy - no more pain, only fun and games for you from now on.
xx

Beyond The Rainbow

As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.

I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.

I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.

For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

Oh no Phill...

So sorry to hear this.. I'm sure he will have a fab time over the bridge where he is in no more pain... xxxxx

Run free Baillie, please say hello to Bonnie and Toby at the bridge for me

I will lend to you for awhile
a puppy, God said,
For you to love him while he lives
and to mourn him when he is gone.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years
or maybe two or three
But will you, till I call him back
take care of him for me?

He'll bring his charms to gladden you
and (should his stay be brief)
you'll always have his memories
as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise that he will stay,
since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught below
I want this pup to learn.

I've looked the whole world over
in search of teachers true
And from the folk that crowd life's land
I have chosen you.
How will you give him all your love
Nor think the labour vain
Nor hate me when I come
to take my pup back again.

I fancied that I heard them say
"Dear Lord, Thy Will be Done,"
For all the joys this pup will bring,
the risk of grief you'll run.
Will you shelter him with tenderness
Will you love him while you may
And for the happiness you'll know
forever grateful stay.

But should I call him back
much sooner than you've planned
Please brave the bitter grief that comes
and try to understand.
If by your love, you've achieved,
in memory of him that you've loved,
cherish every moment
with your faithful bundle,
and know he loved you, too.

-------------------------------------------

Do not cry, for I have found true peace,
And though I'm sad, my aches do cease,
I know you wanted me to stay,
But it can't always be that way.

Do not cry, for now the fields I pass,
I play and frolic in the grass,
My friends love me and I am free,
For this is how it's meant to be.

Do not cry, for I am not alone,
I have a huge and juicy bone,
The water here is crystal clear,
Never again will I feel fear.

Do not cry, for though you miss my love,
I watch you from the skies above,
And there are lots more troubled souls,
That need you to refill their bowls.

I Stood Beside Your Bed Last Night
Author Unknown.

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying, you found it hard to sleep.

I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear.
"Its me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here"

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea.
You were thinking of the many times your hands reached down to me.

I was with you at the shops today, your arms were getting sore.
I want to take your parcels, I wished I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today, you tend it with such care.
I want to reassure you that I'm not lying there.

I walked with you towards the house as you fumbled for the key,
I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said "It's me".

You looked so very tired and then you sank into a chair,
I tried so hard to let you know that I was standing there.

Its possible for me to be so near you everyday,
to say to you with certainty "I never went away".

You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew
That in the stillness of that evening I was very close to you.

The day is over.... I smile and watch you yawning
and say, " Good Night, Sweet Dreams, God Bless,
I'll see you in the morning".

And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide
I'll rush to greet you and well stand together side by side.

I have so many things to show you, there's much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out; then come home and be with me.

Don't worry Auntie Phil :) Baillie is fine now and is having a nose around with me :) I promise to take care of him and show him about the place 8) Thats if I can get him to stop playing with the leaves first  :D
