Vanilla in rabbits water

Does anyone put vanilla in their rabbits water? i read on another foum that they do it to help reduce the chances of fly strike

never heard of that before!?!?

I wouldn't personally do that in case the rabbit doesn't like the taste and then stops drinking water all together.

its an american forum and it was one guy in particular that they all respected and he told them to so they all seem to do it now

Is that rabbits only? It was Buck said that it makes their urine not smell as strong so flies don't get attracted to it. Apparently rabbits like water better with vanilla in it and some wont drink water without it in after they've tried it but I've never tried it myself. I suppose if they don't like it then you could stop using it.
