  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Advice please

Whilst i was cleaning out the hutch Willow and Tilly where playing in the garden. Willow tried to jump into the run and slightly mistimed his jump :? , and banged into the side.

he seemed slightly stunned by this but i dont think hes caused himself any damage, i've been watching him for the passed hour and he is running ok and jumping up and down from the settee, he has also been munching on his hay.

is there anything else i need to look out for?

Sounds like he's OK :D . If he'd done himself any serious damage I very much doubt he'd be jumping up onto things and chomping on his hay!! He was probably just a bit stunned and once he regained his composure he forgot all about his mis-timed jump   !! He might have a bit of a bruise but it really doesn't sound as though he's hurt himself badly. If he had he'd be very quiet, immobile and not keen on eating. Silly boy!! Expect it was his manly pride that was hurt more than anything    Jane and Bunsxx

Ahhh, poor thing! He'll judge his jumps more carefully in future anyway!

My Fidget is so small yet can jump on and off my bed so easily and elegantly...Daisy, who is bigger tries to do the same, and smacks into the side, bless her, she's so ungainly! It can't be hurting her too much though, she keeps on trying
