Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Young Bun
just brought Tommy home.
he's quite awake and the nurse said he hadn't bothered with his wound...they're internal stitches :)

He's staying in the house tonight (and maybe tomorrow too) and we have borrowed my parents old dog crate. But we have also got his old hutch in the living room too :)

Mum is on bunny sitting duty while me & hubby go out for my birthday meal.

hope your little guy is ok
 to atom

hey jayne

great to hear that tommy is home safe and well and that you have a bunny sitter lined up to keep an eye on him while you go out for a much deserved birthday meal.

he was quite awake when i bought him home and he tried to make a run for it out of the carrier!

i've made up his hutch with lots of fresh hay, some of his favourite greens, fresh water and i even heated up a snuggle safe for him. as i type he is sat in the litter tray and looks totally zonked.

we'll be in all weekend keeping a watchful eye over him.

have a great birthday again and hope tommy heals soon.

lots of love and hugs to tommy and a fresh bazil treat too.

j.
