Please Note - Medical Advice
Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.
You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.
We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.
Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

(I'm not Becky though  )

Rexy bexy said:i dont think she should have too much of a problem lops feed are big so make the rings sizes bigger so they feet over the feed easyer when ringing them but i would still keeps a cheak
with rings you can also contact the BRC and give them them the ring number and they should be able to tell you who the previous/original owner was

£30 :shock:Caz said:Yeah problem is I will get charged nearly £30 to have it done by my vet  I am planning on registering the rabbits at my local dog's vet in the new year now I have found a local vet I like and they seem relatively rabbit savvy. Will probably get the routine vaccs etc done there and will ask about the ring then. Will still stick with my usual specialist for their teeth and other serious problems as he has their full medical history but is just too far away and costing loads in petrol to go there for routine stuff.

Caz said:Zeus and Cosmos are still wearing their rings. Zeus' is the largest size and made form plastic - since he was ill he has stayed a bit skinny so although I do check it I have no worries it will get too tight.
Cosmos is metal and I check this loads - I didn't have it taken off when he was neutered and I regret it now as it will be difficult to cut it off if needed.
