Hiya Natalie
well I guess you are as old as you feel, and this applies to bunnies too
Most bunnies are the more mature ones (avoiding using the word OLD here  ) from around 5 as Gina says
Having said that, I have a 9 year old that looks and acts like a 2 year old, and a 4 year old who looks around 9   :?
It is very difficult to say WHEN a bunny is old, I guess the signs are they tend to become slower  sleep a wee bit more  and loose a bit of condition in that they look more frail.
Trouble is , illness causes these things to happen too, so dont assume those symptoms are down to old age alone.
I have two 12 year old bunnies who have more energy than most youngsters, so perhaps I should ask them what they consider to be the elixir of life
Insurance companies have to have an age guide line I guess, so they have set it at 5, which is when things can start to go wrong ..just like with humans the older you get, the more chance you have of getting x illness or x condition.
The average age of a bunny is between 5 and 7, so although I personally would not class 5 as old, it is the start of age related decline in many bunnies, but as in humans , this process normally takes several to many years.
I am sure your bunny Skip will continue to enjoy good health well into old age, judging by what a wonderful Bunny Mummy you are to him.
Best wishes
