  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Good rabbit vet in Bristol UK?

The Rabbit Clinic is on a Wednesday I think...? They are a primary and referral centre but are quite expensive.....Is your Bun insured?? Jane and Buns xx

If you dont mind a 30 min drive you can always Try V.E.T.S in Cardiff, they have rabbit experts there. They were great when our Suki got head tilt back in the summer.

there website is here http://www.v-e-t-s.co.uk/.

BBC wales have even done a docu on them :)

Thanks for your info!

I have actually tried the rabbit clinic but it's just too far out of town for someone who is car-less (like me!). They are amazing though, so if you have your own wheels I highly recommend them (I saw Ian Sayers who really knows his stuff). They mentioned that Viking vets were pretty good with buns, so I guess I'll give them a try.

VIKING VETS.... :? that rings a bell...' :? Vets in Practice'TV programme....Trude Mostue and her Norwegian friend. :? :? I might be having a 'senior moment' though and just having some sort of 'false memory syndrome'......   :D Jane and Buns xx
