  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Does anybody use this.........

It looks very similiar to the readigrass that we use. Write to the company and see if they will send you some samples to try.

Never heard of this before- interesting question. Its interesting reading the technical data of this - I didn't realise there was ash  and sugar  in grass (I've always been surprised to see ash listed in the ingredients of pellets)

do you use this

I have been feeding Grazeon to my bunnies for about 3 years now :) they love it :) I prefer it to readigrass :)

:thumb: Thanks Rabshan, do you feed hay as well as graze-on? The company that produces Graze-on and Megazorb farm only a few miles from me so i have already been in to look but i forgot to ask for a sample, next time im there for the Megazorb i shall ask. :D

This isn’t strictly true. In the wild Rabbits don’t have hay just an unlimited supply of fresh grass and other plants.

Grass is very abrasive so wears down the teeth just as good as hay if not better.

Remember hay is only dried grass. (Hay is dried over a longer period of time then the likes of Readi-Grass).

Just be careful with feeding lots of Readi-Grass type foodstuffs as the way they are made (dried at high temperatures or freeze dried) makes them fairly high in protein.

I feed hay all year round (only because my lot don’t get an adlib supply of fresh grass) supplemented by fresh grass in the spring/summer/autumn and I exchange the fresh grass for a dry variety in winter.

I use Pure Dried Friendly Grass made by Friendship Estaes.
