Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

hi

i need to find a vet urgent that can do tooth dentals burring without GA.

how do i go about finding one local to me in essex!

thanks eve x

Eve can't you just ring around a few as it doesn't take that long to Burr them, I know mine does it without a GA as I use to have to take one of mine every 4wks.

Back teeth or front teeth? Most vets should do the front teeth without GA.

Guy Carter, Medivets, 237 St Albans Road, Watford, Herts WD2 5AS. Tel: 01923 243429

Does back teeth without it and trains others too so he might know someone closer :)

Tams thats not far from me :p Is he a REALLY good Bunny vet? Do you know if they are any good with Guinea Pigs as well? I wanted to go to the CCT but it's 70 miles away and I'm trying to find a piggy expert closer to me in Hertfordshire.

I've only used him for back teeth once of twice as he's no that close to me. I've heard him recommended a couple of timews so I think he's considered a good rabbit vet. Not sure about guineapigs - but you could ask :)

I think Guy Carter is the vet who used to do the bunnies from one of the Watford rabbit rescues which was made to close by the Planning department. When it was open (in fact it might still be in some way) all of the bunnies were neutered/spayed before leaving there so he is an extremely experienced rabbit vet. I'm 99.9% sure that's the chap.

Hi,

He is right near me and I go to him when I have a real problem as he is not cheap.

They are Medivet ... St Albans Road, Watford

He is really good and I'm thinking of taking one of mine for dental work problems that my vet will only do under GA every 4 weeks

tooth burring

Hi eve :) you could try Dominique from Goddards vets at 8, woodford road, woodford green, essex. tel no. 0208 989 1671.she is very experienced & does tooth burring :) she was my vet for several years so can recommend :)

My friend works for Medivet and Guy Carter is very highly rated there as far as rabbits go. If I ever needed anything specialist I would def take my buns there.

I use Apex Vets in Chafford Hundred which is near Grays, Essex. The vet I see, Leon, is brilliant with rabbits, my bunny has his front teeth burred every 4 weeks without GA, the cost is reasonable and there's never any problems.
