  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Turns out his teeth were a bit irregular but not too bad. The main problem was that he had broken a tooth and got an infection in it! So that might mean he's going to have continuous tooth problems! :( He's home now and hopping around which is good, and i have some baytril for him! :D

Awww! was lovely down the beach!!!

I tell you what after talking about vets the other day, this one was really good, and thorough! and it only cost me £44 for initial consultation, operation and antibiotics. I was expecting to pay a small fortune!!!

yes they took him straight in at this vets. He had a temperature and diarreah by the time he got there and was in quite a state, i sent Fudge with him too for company! :D I can't believe how long his claws had got in the last week with him not moving either, looked like I'd been neglecting him! At least fudge looked presentable!

the pumpkins are cool! I went to an aquarium today and they'd dangled pumkins into some of the tanks too!

thanks! I had a nightmare trying to get the baytril into him though under torchlight!!! think I'll bring him in next time! I got it all over his chin and cheek, just hoping he licks it off!!!

Awww bless him, glad he's alright though.

Are they all bunny savvy at your new vets or just one vet?

I'm not sure how many vets there are there, there was only one working today and he was very good! IMO
