Rosie, looking to finally live a rosie life!! :-)

Can you offer Rosie a new loving home?
Meet Rosie; she is a two-year-old speyed female x-breed rabbit that was brought to the Bath Cats & Dogs Home in July 2005, as a stray.

Rosie can be timid and is shy of handling possibly due to the lack of socialisation as a youngster. She can be mistrustful of people but given the time and patience will hopefully come out of her shell. She is seeking the company of a friendly male rabbit we have lots of rabbits in at the moment and she is currently bonded to Buck or perhaps you have a friendly male rabbit she could be share her life with?

Can you offer Rosie a new home? Can you give our bunny a new and ‘Rosie’ life?

I am in love with Buck  If I wasn't having problems with mine at the moment then I would definetly take him to live with Ebony my french lop, as she is really lonely after losing her mum. I hope he finds a good home soon.

Awww she is lovely and I really hope you find a loving home for her but you mention that she is already bonded with Buck (who I'm presuming is aone of your other rabbits) - would it be an option to try and find a place for these as a bonded pair rather than split them at this stage.

Don't misunderstand I really do appreciate how it can be difficult when you have a waiting list of bunnies to come in, but just thinking about how this might affect her to be separated from the security of her pal and then going into a strange new environment.

Of course we would ideally love to rehome them as a pair but this isn't always possible, however as we never re-home rabbits to live alone they would be being homed to be re-paired up with an existing C/male rabbit. In this instance I believe it would be kinder to to separate so another female could fill Rosie's space and therefore be prevented from being dumped or put to sleep. In this case specifically Buck and Rosie have been temporarily separated as Buck has recently undergone major suregery on his ears which are now considerably shorter! Bless him, he had developed sores which were becoming infected as not only did they drag on the floor but he was standing on his own ears with his hind feet tearing them at the ends. He will hopefully be replaced with Rosie when he has recovered enough, but if she was rehomed in the meantime that would be fantastic.

hi

I saw Buck on the website and couldn't believe those ears! How he must have suffered being bred like that - I'm so glad he's had the surgery so he can enjoy being a rabbit now :)

  I saw the title of this topic and thought it was about me! Thats what a night of no sleep does to my brain
