  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I've just got back from the vets with Splodge who is 15 weeks now! He had his VHD vacc and a bit of a check down below as the vet wasn't 100% about his gender last time!

I was hoping to start bonding him with Niamh over the summer as I'm off work till September, but there's still no sign of his plums! so now I have to wait a month before I take him for another inspection! No summer love in my house :(

I had him weighed too and he was only 1.6kg, I was expecting him to be a small medium sized bun being a cross between an English spot and a dwarf lop! Is he likely to grow much more now, or is their growing usually complete by 4 months? :?

i would say about 7 months for this guy, i say he will be a big one as i once had a english spot x dwarf lop looks just like him

i know all about buns with no plums   hagrid my british giant had me phoning up for quotes to have them removed from his tummy because we thought they were never gonna drop, but at 20 weeks they finally came  so i booked him in a week later just incase they decided to go back up again!
