  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

my friend has a mini lop rabbit, only a few months old, I saw her at her work today and she said the bunny has a sore eye, she described it as like sleep in the corner of his eye.

Any idea what this may be, could it be teeth probs? Anyway I said it would be best to see a vet but thought I would ask on here also

It could be any number of things, something stuck and infection! I would def see the vet about it XXXX

thats what I have said to her, I know lops can be more prone to these probs.

how are things your end phil? hope everything is staying ok at present

Oh were ok at the mo just another 24hrs to go before were in the clear so fingers crossed!

Hows Coby getting on is he coming out of his shell?

Glad to hear it sweetie...I am thinking of you x

Cobey is fine...really coming out of his shell, lol!!! Infact turning into a real wee scamp, so time for a major bunny proof (thought I had but boy do they get in everywhere) He even let me pet him yesterday while he was eating

When Patch was in the house he disappeared one day and i couldn't find him for an hour! He'd got himself down a 3inch gap under the wardrobe and then couldn't get out!!!!! Silly bun!

at least your millie is a bigger bun, and shouldnt get stuck in too many wee gaps ;)

Cobey is a mini lop so is smaller and I am amazed at the places he attempts to get into!!! crazy bunny

I would advise to see a vet straight away. Jasper had funny eyes twice and it could have been his teeth but it wasn't. His tear ducts were blocked and he had to have them flushed once. He was then on antibiotic eyedrops.

It is vital that she sees a vet.
