does anyone know if the new draft animal welfare bill got passed or not :?: have searched and searched and coming back with nothing :? DEFRA have a few updates on their website but nothing to do with this

anyone know :?:

There still fiddling around with it as far as I know. Last update I can see on Hansard was Feb 2005: http://www.parliament.uk/bills/draftbills/draftbills0304.cfm

Have you checked the RSPCA website? I think they have something about it... but might not have full info.

Is this the one that mentions badger-baiting ?? I just got a letter from Naturewatch, to send on to the Home Secretary about this. Theres more about it on their site. www.naturewatch.org

A lot of recomendations have been made but they haven't gone through the Commons yet, hence time to still send letters etc. ( I think!)

thanks for the links everyone :thumb: do you think it would be easier to contact DEFRA as I have some queries with regard to how this bill will affect the council licensing applications :wink:
