  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

bunny jabs

It varies from vet to vet so you are probably best to shop around and ask folk on the forum to recommend vets in your area they are happy to use.

Unfortunately, just because a vet is cheap doesnt guarantee he / she is very good!

Mine charges £18 each for VHD and Mixy.

Think my vet charges around £14 per vaccine, and I get a discount for taking all 3 in together! You need to leave at least 2 weeks between myxi and vhd, and I get the myxi one twice yearly cos I'm in a bad area for it.

My vet usually gives Mixy and VHD at the same time.
She's an experienced bunny owner herself, and she's never mentioned having them done seperately.

Well I got her registerd at a vet and she is going in on monday for a check up and her first jab! its £25 for the first and for the second its £12

My Charlie is going tomorrow for the first time, i'm alittle nervous to be honest and i feel really guilty! :(

I was told it was £26.00 for 3 injections spread over a two week gap for each one!
