Hi,
just wondered if anyone else has problems getting into the Rabbits In Need section and the Rabbit Reference Section on the Forum. Sometimes I can get in, but most of the time it won't load and comes up as error 502. Sometimes I also can't log off the Forum as that comes up as an error too, so I just have to leave myself logged on for hours. Maybe it's just my computer I don't know.

heres the error message, get this every time:

Web site not responding (Error 502)
The Web page you are trying to access has not been found on this site.

This might be because:

The Web site you have requested may be experiencing technical difficulties due to a busy or broken server. Please try again by clicking the Reload icon on your AOL bar or, if that doesn't work, try visiting
the site again later.

Alternatively, please try to access a different Web site, such as http://www.aol.co.uk/. If this does not work, shut down and restart your computer, sign back on to AOL, and try visiting the Web site again.

For further assistance, go to AOL Keyword: Internet Help.

I checked through aol, and the advanced settings are controlled by internet explorer so tweeking it there should have helped...not sure what can be done about it!

I managed to bookmark Rabbits in need the one time I accessed it so I can get into that one via there, but I have never been able to access the reference section one :? very strange!

I don't think the permissions I've set for those sections should effect you. I've put the Reference section settings to the same as the rest of the forum can you see if you can access it now?

Okay next thing to try:

On the menu goto Tools > Internet Settings
Then see the section in the popup up called temporary internet files? Click on delete files. Then click okay and try again.

Diagrams here if you can't find the bit I mean: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/using/howto/customizing/clearcache.mspx

hey I am happy to help...refreshing doesnt do anything either....is there anything that could maybe be causing a security prob my end? I have a a spyware prog etc, I will check if there is anything that could be blocking

Tamsin

Well checking for spyware won't hurt tho I wouldn't have thought that was the problem though as that would just effect you not the others too :?

Are you all using AOL's browser?

It could be worth trying a different browser e.g. firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

See if that makse a difference.

what program do you use to get on the internet Dorothy?

I usually use AOL, but that has been causing the probs for me seeing certain areas, most computers with windows have a program called Internet Explorer (mine is shown as a large blue letter e on the main screen of my computer)

Hi, I use aol too. Funny thing is I have found that if I come on the Forum and click on Rabbits In Need before I do anything else, I get on :? . I then found that once I had read a topic and decided to click on Rabbits In Need title again to get the list of topics back that it wouldn't load again. So I now use the back button to get back to the list of topics and can then stay on Rabbits In Need.
However if I go onto, say General Chat, then try to get back to Rabbits in Need, I can't unless I log off then come on again and repeat the process   .
It's a bit complicated, but it works for now  :?    .
Only just recently had the back button pointed out to me   .
