Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Ants !!

I have noticed a few ants in and around Skip's cage. Now i doubt that they do any harm?? as outside bunnies must have ants around.

The problem is I have found that they are coming throught the window when it is open as we have a rosebush that has grown quite tall up against the window. When i looked properly i realised there was loads of them :? Is it safe to put down ant powder?? What if one of the ants went in the powder then got into Skip's cage would this be dangerous for him??

Or would it be better to get rid of the rosebush?

Personally, I would get rid of the rose bush - if the ants are definitely getting through the window because of the rose bush then cutting it is only going to make a little bit of difference. They find there way in someway so take the whole lot out to avoid this. Perishing little blighters they are

We also have an ant problem, I have a wooden petshop bought run and have noticed the other day that ants are crawling all over it, i brushed them off but later noticed them actually crawling out of the woodwork  When the run isnt being used i keep it stored in the greenhouse to stop it getting weathered, ive only had the run 2 months so dont really want to scrap it, is there anything i can put on it to make the run useable again??
