Howdie Folks - for those of you that know me from the RWF Conference you'll know that I really can live up to the name of Looby Lany - but just to prove that I don't always hang out in a bunny suit with big ears and floppy Tail - here's a naked pickie  - Well sorta!

Please excuse the cheesey grins as these were taken for the Veterinary News Letter I was doing at the time - and cheesey they definately are  - Both pickies are taken with Dillon my much loved and missed departed bunster (Buffs original partner before the lovely Cagney).

Oh Yeah and Age! - well don't even go there!! - 21 AGAIN - IN MY DREAMS ME THINKS

I am almost speechless - you should be on that add for that face cream you look really young... it must be all that sea air and hard work that keeps you so fresh faced.

On that ad the woman comes on and says "I'm 54 with a really smug face" and I am a total mean sod and shout back "yes and you look 70 you old bint".

Anyway it just shows that bunnies keep you young -either that or Jim is pressing all the right buttons

Ok, thought I better explain this picture a bit, because I don't normally go out dressed really tarty. I use to be a very big girl about six stone over weight and I lost it with the help from a well known diet club, because I did so well, when the local paper express and star asked them for some one to do an article on , I was put forward and this is a photograph the paper sent me. It's also the only digital one I have. I don't normally like having my photo taken.

SOAD
14-02-2005, 02:27 PM
From start to end it took about 18 months, and it was the point one. I still go but it's free now that I've got to my goal, I tried the no count one the other week and put weight on. I still have to be so sensible about what I eat, as I gain weight really easy.

Ooh, wonder if you were born at the same hospital. My daughter was born at Mill Road Hospital.

Unfortunately I can't say I got to know Liverpool that well. I caught a virus there that led on to me having 9 years of M.E.. I was realy quite ill and therefore don't have happy memories of being there. I did however make some good friends there that were realy helpfull.

All my money goes on my buns too!! I'm happy to stay in, not really into clubbing that much, much prefer going out for a meal with my friends when I go out. Other than that I spend all my time with my bunnies! :D

Im exactly the same!!!
ive done the clubbing and getting drunk stage when i was uni, and i did that most nights, so its all out of my system now.

All my money goes on my buns, they are so spoilt and even my bf gets jelous of them as i seem to spend most of my time with them, he reckons 'i love my buns more than him'   if he were to take an interest in them then maybe he will realise that they are fascinating and entertaining animals!!! esp scampie, he is so blonde (in the brains dept) just like his mum

missblondebunny - glad to see I'm not the only youngster who likes to stay in with buns :) I did clubbing and drinking etc when I was in my teens, although I'm only 21, work, college and buns seem to tire me out!! And my bunnies are so fun to watch, I'd rather save my money + spend on them, than give it to pubs!!!! :D

I'm 24 and kinda lived my "party" phase when I was about 16. Now I'd rather have fun with my bun over going out on a bender. Bunnies can't give you hang overs!

Me too!!! I'm over the clubbing phase. I much rather staying in with my bunny! When I do go out I like meeting up with my mates and having a drink/meal or cinema.

My money goes on the bunster. Everyone laughs at me as I always buy Darcy his organic veggies etc - they think its crazy I can spend well over £100 a month just on Darcy!!! xxx

Ive done the clubbing thing too, and hardly ever go out now! Me and my husband are having to save up for our 2nd attempt at IVF and it is £2600.00 a go! Think it's awful that people who find it difficult having children through no fault of their own have to pay for the priviledge! This world is all wrong! (but suppose I shouldnt get started on that subject, I'll be here all day moaning)! I used to live for going out when I was 17 until I was about 23, but then realised bills etc took over, and you know your old when you get more excited about choosing a loo roll holder for your bathroom than getting plastered!! Its my 30th in July (very scarey!!) and I am definately going out for that!! (I will need to get drunk that night in order not to cry!!) As seen as this is a "putting names to faces" topic, I will get my hubby to put up a pic of me (also tarted up), seen as you all look so glamorous!!

Hi Kerri C, that is terrible - I had no idea how much you had to pay for IVF. I think it should be on hte NHS too. I wish you all the luck in the world for you next lot of treatment.

Don't worry about turning 30...i turned 30 two months ago it was great (the night out that is)! I feel more confident and comforable in myself since being 30 and am looking forward to the years coming. So please don't worry, you'll be fine!

Never been one for clubbing, but I do enjoy meeting up with friends for a meal or a drink or two

I was married with two children before my 21st birthday, so now my boys are strapping teenagers, I feel I've got a second chance at life.

My eldest son often comes out with me and my friends, he even came on my hen night!!!

Hi Romy and Darcy!! Thank you for your reply!! Doesnt make feel so bad to be nearly 30 after all! It was my friends 30th in january and we went for a meal and a drink, but we ended up all going home at 10.30pm as we were both plastered and felt ill (had only had 3 glasses of wine!). I remember the days when I could have had 5 times as much as that (binge drinking  ) and not had a hint of a hang over the next morning! eeh the things you do when you are young, and daft! Im glad you agree about IVF, it wouldn't even be as bad if they gave you three attemps free (as usually takes 3 attemps before it works) and then you paid after that. Its been 5 years now, and it just breaks my heart when I am sat waiting for a scan (during the ivf programme - as you have to have a scan a week aswell as a bloodtest, and you are also injecting yourself 2 times a day with hormones which can drive you a bit mad at times :x whole process takes about 2 months), and then a 14yr old girl walks in with her 15 yr old boyfriend and is 22 wks pregnant and couldnt care less!! That is what happened to me last time, and I could have cried!! And then when my attempt failed, I have never honestly felt so low in all my life. Endometriosis is such a horrible thing to live with, I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy (not that I have one!!). Anyway, sorry this was not at all about bunnies, but it is a subject very close to my heart and its nice to talk about it, as I do get quite upset from time to time thinking that I may never have my own baby. Thanks for your reply Romy. X

sorry not good at quoting just phrases yet, i just wanted to say good luck with your ivf, i know someone who fell pregnant through that, myself i have been quite lucky i have had two children and its only now that i have found out that i have been suffering for endometrosis, and am not looking forward to the treatment because i am at more risk because i have had a section with my first child....

i do feel for you with the expense, and do believe this should be the way it is for everyone not just for ivf but for natural conception, if we all had to pay for at least a licence to have children, the same way we do with
animals maybe there would not be so may cases of child neglect,. it does make me so made we are made to have a lience to own a dog but not for a child..... werid...

I agree with you bunnylove, its like people who have endo or whatever are being penalised through no fault of their own and the government are making money out of our suffering! Endometriosis is horrible, and I have to revolve my life around each month because I am in so much pain, I can never plan a holiday months in advance as I never know if it it going to be my endo time! Its not a black and white illness either, as everyone has it in different places, has different severities, and different pain levels, some women dont suffer any pain at all, but I have been rushed to hospital in an ambulance a couple of times after passing out with the pain. I have had alot of it lazered away and my doctor is fantastic (he reminds me of Dr.Hibbert off the simpsons!!). The pain is alot better to cope with now, and I am learning to deal with it, but there are times when I find it very difficult. I have faith in my doctor that I will get there in the end, but after 5 years of trying I also think that it will never happen. My next attempt is May/June time, so trying to remain positive. (not looking forward to the mood swings and bruised legs again - but it will all be so worth it if I get my little baby! :) . Thanks for your reply!! Once again to everyone, sorry to go way off topic, my husband has actually downloaded some pics of me to put on this "putting names to faces" so as soon as we've stopped watching "an audience with joe pasqualie" I will put them up for you!!

how did you get on with the lazer treatment kerri?, i am scared stiff as they said it will be risky for me because of my previous op (section) on my tummy, i have a slightly higher risk of my stomach, or blowel errupting (sorry people). so im wondering if its worth putting up with the pain rather than going through that....

Hi Tamsin! yes, I will certainly try to help with car matters whenever I can - as my Husband is a mechanic!! if I dont know the answer he certainly will! PS I had an e-mail a couple of hours ago that said someone had pm'd me, but when I looked, there was nothing there. Does it usually take while for these to show up? (Im new at all this!!)

Hi bunnylove, I have had the lazer treatment twice now, as I have endo on my ovary, womb and bowel (like bunnylove - sorry people!!). I have felt so much btr since they did this, as I have not had no where near as much pain since and I find it bearable now. I also have a scar the same size as a caesarian section which has been opened up 3 times now, and even though I have got a bit of nerve damage, I can honestly say that it was the best thing I have ever had done having those op's - but everyone is different and people react in different ways). However, the endo on my bowel is permanent as it is too risky, so that causes me quite a few problems, but I have just learned to live with it. It is a very "unsympathetic" illness, as everyone thinks "my god, take a painkiller" but I would love to see them live with it and then say that!! It is an on-going thing which can wreck womens lives if they let it, and I know I will have to continue to have more op's and treatment all my life. The cyst on my ovary was removed last December (along with my left tube as I had what was called Hydro-salpings eg tube filling up with water all the time) but it grew back. When I had my scan they said it measured 8.7cm, but when they operated on 2nd Feb, they said it weighed half a pound and was considerably larger than what the scan had picked up!!! I am lucky to have found such a wonderful doctor, who is really become a good friend of ours, as the hospital I was at previously were terrible. On top of having endo, I also have to go through the emotional rollercoaster of IVF treatment, spending weeks and weeks going through scans, bloodtests, mixing injections, injecting myself, going for more scans, then being knocked out and having my eggs retrieved and then having to phone the hospital to see if any of them have fertilised, and then going back to theatre to have the embryos put back (which is also quite painful!), but if women want something so badly - they will go to the end of the world to get there! I have had years and years of horrible painful tests, but I would go through it all again if I knew that one day I would get my little bundle. Anyway, let me know how it works out - my thoughts are with you. x

WHOOPS DIDNT FINISH- you all look lovely out there. :) Did want to mention how strange that some of us had /are suffering the same medical problems with endo which I had a mild form of and trying to have babies is a big big problem, more easily talked about than when I had the same problems back in 1980-85. My husband( then )couldnt father children himself so we went for artificial insemination which worked after years of trying.I have two wonderfull children but no husband now ! Hey thats life.

Kerri C
20-02-2005, 01:02 PM
Hi bunnymyhoney57!! Sorry to hear you now have no husband, life is one big struggle at times isnt it? We too had 3 attempts at IUI (artificial insemination) but all 3 failed. The first attempt at IVF also failed, but I have to wait until May/June time to have a second go, so that I have fully healed inside and out to enable a better chance at maintaining a pregnancy. Its not nice to think of all us women with endo, but it is nice to be able to talk to people about it, and realise that women can still go on to have babies even with it! :D

Hi Tahra - funny you should say that, my Husband hit 30 2 years ago and the grey hairs are breeding like rabbits!! I have not come across one yet, but I have blonde hair so usually quite difficult to see. Bet there are a fair few there though!! Yes, I love my car - it is my baby (apart from the bunnies and pig!). It gives me such a buzz driving around in it when you get groups of people just stopping and staring as you drive past!! Its entered into a few shows this year, and usually gets a pic or two in "performance BMW" magazine. They want to do a feature on mine and my husbands bmw's, but as they are not finished yet, we keep having to decline. Mine is pretty much finished interior wise except the boot install - BIG speakers etc!!), but I am now saving up for a carbot bonnet, and I also want the spoiler re-doing in carbon too! I may aswell still enjoy myself whilst I can - as soon as babies come along (or should I say "if" babies come along following IVF) things will all need to change! What car do you have??

Tahra
21-02-2005, 10:22 AM
No definately WHEN they come along !! Im a Mini person, first car was a classic when I was 20 or so called Cedric and earned my Haynes manual stripes with it ! A couple of normal things for many years ( My Corsa did 125K from new and didnt quite fall apart). Managed to persuade my husband before we married that we didnt need two cars so his MX5 and my Clio (yeuch) metamorpasized into a new BMW Mini Cooper we changed that to a Cooper S about a year ago. Lovely wee cars. Statrtin looking at New Mini Scotland and there was quite a few Modifiers there, in fact one girl I knew made the cover of Fast and Modified with her Baby-B. However my husband was talking about going back to Uni so I was very supportive and said that two cars were a bit of a luxury...and since the Minis didnt seem to know the meaning of depreciation.....!!! So Im rattling about in an old Rav 4 at the mo with the distant dream of an S2000 :D Maybe not the most sensible choice.....However I might settle for a classic Mini again in the meantime, always wanted an original Cooper; external door-hinges, split windows etc. and J's gone off the idea of uni

Kerri C
21-02-2005, 10:39 AM
I must admit I do like the new mini's (especially cos their made by BMW!!). I had a few normal cars too until I met Chris and he could get alot of parts for my car trade due to his job. My first car was a Fiesta popular plus ( ), and then I got a peugeot 106 1 litre!! It was a lovely car at the time, but way too slow! I then got my BMW - which was totally standard and a dolphin grey metallic colour. It's now 16yr old, and I've had it 6yrs! I chose the colour myself, as that is my favourite colour blue - the photo doesnt do the colour justice at all! I also have a Honda Civic as a run-around, as I take my Beemer off the road over the winter. I had a 1.4ltr Peugeot 106 before that, it had alloys and foglamps etc, but it was too small and I felt really unsafe in it (cos im used to my big fat bmw!). So I sold it after 2wks and got the Honda. My Husband has 3 cars (so we are a 5 car family  ) - one BMW, and 2 mitsubishi starions. we buy them as projects, and do them up over the years. The older the car, the better - they have more character!! These new cars all look the same, but you cant beat the old cars! I would love to own Eleanor off "gone in 60 seconds" - that car is just something else!!

Very nice, like the red brakes!! :D (mine are blue!). My car is entered into Donny Show in April, cant wait, I've just put 2 monitors in my sun-visors and fitted a PS2! Just got the seats trimmed in leather and alcontera (don't know how to spell) but still quite a bit to do. Going to be featured in "Performance BMW" magazine this year, as it's almost finished (but I always think of new things I want to add or change so dont suppose it will ever be finished!) theyve been pestering us for a feature for about 3 years but it has never been anywhere near, so it will be good to see my beemer's pic splashed across the front page of a magazine in W H Smiths!!

Found one. Not a very good one, but one non-the-less. I have a habit of pulling odd faces or usually blink or something when the camera goes off - so most pics turn out useless.

Hi Guys,

Only just seen this. I take on foster buns for our centre, really nervous ones, baby hand rears and the buns who are ill and I take them in case its infectous to the other rabbits. I lost my Black French lop (cinders) about a year ago  and my two silver fox lops (Mischief & Cracker) about 6 months ago :( and decided to foster as I hope to be moving soon and want to settle down before I take on another rabbit. I still have my 3 cats.

This is me a couple of years ago, its the only photo I could find and it hasn't scaned well. I am 26 and have avoid the camera's for many years. Any one who's met me at the centre knows, after a morning of cleaning, bonding and rehoming bunnies, im not wearing well

Each time, 'cos I am a wicked stepmother, as I tell him, I say there is nothing in the world to be frightened of, and no, for heavens sake I am not awake, and, perish the thought there is nothing to be frightened of, so we leave the light on. So come on professional mums help me. I thought I would never have children then one turned up 'fathers 4 justice' and all that.

Ok, here are a couple of pics of me - I don't have any glam ones 'cos I don't wear makeup or have any time to dress up :?
The last time I wore make up it was my youngest son's 18th birthday and I had to try and remember what to put on first  I couldn't remember how to put my make up on - isn't that awful  My youngest son is now coming up to 24 and I think I had better go threw the make up bags and throw the stuff away
Right, the first pic is of me visiting a person in America a couple of years ago - she is the blonde one with the hat on.

I (do have to confess to picking my nose on occasions) ( the monkey with hairy armpits and a strange aversion to bananas)'m thinking about getting a MK IV TT 1996-7 model and getting a Diesel turbo golf for going to work in.

The new Golf turbo diesels are quick! O/h was very upset when he couldn't get away from one in his Skyline the other day. Get a Supra :D

A skyline?!!! OMG I (do have to confess to picking my nose on occasions) ( the monkey with hairy armpits and a strange aversion to bananas) am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous!! Id love one of those!! They are totally gorgeous!! Please post a piccie up, Id love to see it!!! :D

Started a new thread..... (http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/viewtopic.php?p=63946#63946) :D

Up for a calendar but no idea what to do

Steve got a calender done for me last year, it was all pics of Charlie and Fern - I think it had to be the best present I'd ever had!!

He just took the pics on a disk to a shop and they did the calendar - he said it was suprisingly cheap.

He's in bed, I'll ask him tomorrow where it was and see if I can find anything out.

Also i noticed that Mark put a pic of his car up too, so i thought i would put mine up as its my number one hobby, and i attend all the car shows that i can.

Here goes...

OOH which car shows do you go to Sarah??

Me and my husband run a car club, and we go to all the modified shows. Just been to Doncaster, HIN and Modified Nationals, we have 2 modified Beemers:-

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y73/DriveByImportClub/Modified%20Nationals%2005/DSCN8523photoshop1rdc.jpg

Mine is the blue E30 on the left, Chris's is the blue one next to it, and Alex's is the black one (a lad who is in our club).

We have 7 cars on our club stand in total.
