Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent - bunny vet in Birmingham?

Hi, I'm after some advice.

When I saw my boss today he asked me advice for his daughter. She has a house bunny who she adores and he/she is unwell - floppy, keeps falling over, won't eat...etc.

She's taken it to the vet but he doesn't seem to know what to do - is running a blood test and wants to do a scan.

In my experience most vets can cure common bunny stuff but I think this could need some specialist help - anyone know a good vet for buns in Birmingham (she lives in Halesowen but anywhere in the general area would be good).

cheers

Bev

Hi,

I take my bunny to Clent Hills Vets on the Stourbridge Road in Bromsgrove, 01527 872488. Its a small practice but they are very good, not sure if they are bunny specialists but they look after my bunny!!

Hi Bev - sorry to hear about this poorly bunster.

There is an excellent bunny specialist vet in Solihull - she mainly operates from the Bentley Heath Practice - a Vet called Deborah Hope - she is a very savy Bunny Vet and attends the Rabbit Welfare Conferences and all mine go to her now.

Contact numbers as follows:-

608 Veterinary Practice
108 Widney Road
Bentley Heath
Nr Solihull
Tel: 01564 774246

Hope this helps.

Thank you all for your help, I've passed the information onto my boss for his daughter- fingers crossed she get bunny well again.

Bunnytales - my bunnies holiday home is with my parents near Solihull, so I'll definitely keep those details for my mum if ever one of the bunsters is poorly when she has them.

Bev x
