  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

New Kit
Well tonight Mozy will be going back to the vets for a follow up, :) She has been getting on fine taking her medication like a good girl, she still has a little white in her right eye and it's still looking sore, but on the good side I have been keeping a good eye on her and she isn't going around in circles so much now, studying her she was only doing it when she was trying to get her bearings, ( my fault for moving her, trying to find a permanent place indoors from outside) and her eyes aren't moving now when she is beeing cuddled and is settled, I will say something to the vet about the tests. Let you know what is said. :) :)

Hi; Well Mozy has been, and there isn't much to report really, she is a little better and the vet could see that, but the thing that is worrying the vet the most is, Her eye balls themselves are bulging more then normal and she is under the opinion that there could be turmors on the backs of them, It's just a waiting game now, I did talk to her about having certain tests, but looking at it her way things aren't that straight forward, she has given me more "Baytril" as I am nearly out of it and it is working. We even disgust having her eyes taken out but on the reality side it would stress her to much. All I can do now is make sure she is happy and love her. :( :(
