Hi there,

My vet who I sometimes locum for has asked me to ask if I can help find a nice home for his daughter's Black rex rabbit.

Unfortunatley she has lost interest in the rabbit :roll: & is relying on her dad to clean him out & care for him & the vet feels he'd rather find a home with someone who will enjoy the rabbit.

He is a 3-4year old Black rex buck in very good health (I cannot recall the size of the rabbit as I only saw him a while ago, when the surgery were holiday-boarding him for the vet whilst he was away, but I think there's a possibility of him being a mini rex? (although cannot really remember that far back).

He has been fed well on Suparabbit excel & now lives on his lonely ownsome after his companion died.

The rabbit is based in the Middlesex area & can probably be picked up Harlington, Feltham or Wembley areas.

Oh my god if he was big enough i'd love to have him but i can't really. He sounds like a little star im sure he'll find a home quick.
I think Myrtle would fancy a new posh black shiny husband, he's a good age for her too...STOP emma STOP!!
 
You are soo bad tempting me, my bunnies partner died in september and she is all on her lonesome. Bunnyboarder how big is this rex? I will pm u but as im living in my parents and nana's house its not all my decision OR i mean i dont get my way 100%. :D
 
Im pretty sure shadow is a mini rex shes smaller than lilac anyway,but id still say medium size

I am taking Violet up to Nottingham tomorrow, if it doesn't work out with any of Kathy's buns can I have second dibs after Emilou on seeing whether he would like a new girlfriend (bit closer for me than going back up to Nottingham and kinder on Violet too - hope she takes the journey tomorrow alright ;) )?

I was at kathys yesterday (collecting chuckie) i asked if there were any rexes still there, she said no your not looking at them!! think theres the black boy and white boy left they are both so beautifull!

Have PM'd you Emma.

As i say i really can't remember if he was standard or mini from when i saw him briefly ages ago, wouldn't say he was that big though anyway.

Also miniature isn't always as small as you think & you can indeed have bunnies of different breeds/sizes living together as long as they get on. :wink:

I myself had neutered pairs of French Lop with say, a mini lop.

I will forward contact details of the actual owner to anyone who thinks they are able to take this bunny. :D

Thanks for the interest & this vet is really good with rabbits & small animals which he is specialised in so all in all should be off to a good start.
 
Bluebunny - you could have had a mached quadruplet set - just convince rest of your family they have had too much to drink and are seeing double - you could sneak them in!!

I know lol!!! trouble was o/h was agreeing with kathy and my pet carrier was too small!!!!!! although i do remember kathys husband saying i could borrow one !
 
Had a family meeting about the rex boy bunny and i was in a huge minority, Im afraid I cant have him im very sorry. Im in first year uni = halls of residence so i rely on the good grace of my nana and mum to myrtle sit while im gone. As of next academic year (sept) im moving into a house so myrtle is coming to but until the start of june when ill finish this semester I MUST NOT get myrtle a partner. I cant adopt what I wont be caring for, especially crucial bonding period as I go back to cambridge on the 7th of feb.
Im sure you will find him a new family soon, he sounds like a fabulous bunny.

Sorry I am out too now - pretty much love at first sight for Violet and "Arthur" (soon to be renamed) today!

After a bit of nipping she only has eyes for him (even if they are longingly through the bars of their cage) and he wants to constantly bonk her (he still has to be done).

So Violet has her boyf and I am at full bunny capacity or Brendan has said he will divorce me :roll: !

I hope the poor lad finds a home!

Which one was Arthur? I had a stroke of the black rex at Kathy's, was that him? Sooooo soft!!!! I have been thinking about him ever since :roll: Or is he the white or the castor? All so beautiful and tempting....
 
The castor rex turned out to be a girl and kept demanding grooming which Violet was having none of! She looks like she would be friendly with a very submissive female or a male though. She has arthritis poor thing although she isn't currently on medication.

Arthur is now Cosmos and yes little Yogi (the REW) is still there!
