A Message From the RWAF Re Rabbit Awareness Week June 2020

Jack's-Jane

Wise Old Thumper
''Every year, we join forces with thousands of rabbit owners, rescue centres, vets, pet retailers and charities to help improve the lives of pet rabbits in the UK for Rabbit Awareness Week. Now in its 14th year, RAW is well established as the biggest and most important annual rabbit welfare campaign in the UK, helping to raise awareness around many of the key issues that are affecting rabbits.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing situation with Coronavirus pandemic, this year's Rabbit Awareness Week will not be running in June in the same manner as in previous years. This is predominantly due to the fact that many of the activities typically associated with a Rabbit Awareness Week campaign are simply impossible to run alongside current government guidance.

The organisers of Rabbit Awareness Week are currently working hard behind the scenes on alternative plans for this year's Rabbit Awareness Week campaign. These plans will be arranged in line with the latest advice from Government and veterinary professional bodies and we hope to make some exciting announcements soon.

Despite these changes to our planned Rabbit Awareness Week campaign, there is still a lot of information available to help rabbit owners through these challenging times. Rabbit owners can still download care guides, activity sheets and access informative videos from www.rabbitawarenessweek.co.uk .

We also hope you'll join us by sharing videos of your rabbits having a great time on National Binky Day (1st June). Please upload your binky videos for us to use in this year's video.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your continued support of Rabbit Awareness Week.''
